Terms of service
Effective date: 17 October 2026
These terms cover PredictOS, the research bench at predictos.aswemaylearn.com, run by As We May Learn, Inc. ("we", "us", "our"). By signing in you accept them. They sit beside the data-use text you agree to before first use and our privacy policy. The rest of aswemaylearn.com is covered by the copyright notice in its footer.
What the service is
PredictOS is a research bench for testing whether a declared change to a learner-prediction pipeline improves prediction.
Access by invitation
Access is for customers with signed agreements only. An organization's invitation comes by email, and you sign in with a code sent to that address. Your access is personal, governed by your organization's agreement, and cannot be passed to anyone else.
The data-use text
Before you use the bench you read and agree to its data-use text, and you are asked again whenever it changes. Your agreement is recorded with your account and the time. Its three obligations, which the bench asks you to accept at sign-in, are part of these terms, in the bench's words with our contact substituted:
You will not copy, export, photograph or paste the record-level data.
You will use only your own account and will not share your sign-in.
If you see anything that looks like it could identify a learner or the source of any learning data that is not your own organization's, you will stop and tell us at info@aswemaylearn.com.
Agent tokens
You may mint agent tokens so that software can act for you. What a token does is recorded as the token's, on your behalf, and you are responsible for it. Keep its secret private, give it only the scopes the work needs, and revoke it when the work is done. A token stops working when it expires, when it is revoked, or when your access ends.
The audit record and read limits
The bench keeps an audit record of every card and every piece of learning data accessed, with the account and the time, and shows you your own record on your status page. It also limits how much you can open. Today, reads of learner records are limited to 30 a minute, 8 distinct learners in 15 minutes and 40 pages an hour, with at most 100 cards a page. Going past a limit refuses the read or pauses your reading for a time, and the owner is told of each pause. We may change the limits.
Your work
Experiments, recipes, components and results created on the bench are records of the bench and belong to your organization, unless your organization's signed agreement with As We May Learn, Inc. provides otherwise; you may describe your methods and aggregate results in your own work, and you may publish no individual records without our written permission.
Suspension and ending access
The owner may suspend or end any account at any time, with or without notice: for example after a breach of these terms or the data-use text, a concern about learner data, or the end of a partner agreement. Ending access marks your membership inactive, so you can no longer sign in and your tokens stop working. You may stop at any time and ask us to close your account, as the privacy policy describes.
No warranty
The bench is a research tool provided as it is, without warranty. It may change or pause without notice, Runs can fail, and results are research findings that may be wrong. Learner data may be withdrawn when a partner asks. We give no warranty of accuracy, of fitness for a purpose, or of availability. To the extent New York law allows, As We May Learn, Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use, and its total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us, which is nothing.
Changes
We post changes here with a new effective date, and using the bench after a change means you accept it. A change to the data-use text asks for your agreement again before you continue.
Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Write to As We May Learn, Inc. at info@aswemaylearn.com. If you find anything that could identify a student, stop and notify us immediately at info@aswemaylearn.com.
